Dera Sant Ghar
Dera Sant Ghar stands between the villages of Harkhowal and Pandori Bibi, about 11 km south-west of Hoshiarpur in Punjab. It was founded by Sant Jawala Singh Ji in 1918.
Sant Jawala Singh Ji

Sant Jawala Singh Ji (1889 to 1957). Born on 1 May 1889 in the village of Lagari in Hoshiarpur district, one of twin sons of Narain Singh and Raj Kaur, he was educated at the village school and gurdwara. He enlisted in the army in January 1907, in the 35th Sikh Battalion.
At Rawalpindi he met Sant Aiya Singh Ji, successor of Sant Karam Singh Ji of Dera Hoti Mardan in the North-West Frontier, and became his disciple in 1911. After serving in France during the First World War, he left the army at the start of 1917 and joined the Dera at Hoti Mardan for a life of contemplation and service.
At the request of Sant Harnam Singh Ji of Hoshiarpur district, and with his Guru's permission, he returned to the Doaba in December 1918 and settled near Harkhowal. Sangat came in growing numbers, drawn by his devotion and his clear, simple discourses. Thousands took Amrit from him, among them Maharaja Yadavindra Singh of Patiala. Remembered for seva at historic gurdwaras including those at Anandpur, Patna and Talwandi Sabo, he passed away on 13 November 1957.
Babaji's own katha of Sant Jawala Singh Ji's life is among the recordings, in several parts.
